“At Surfing Magazine, the main (and only) qualm we hear with regard to our annual swimsuit issue is: “What does a swimsuit issue have to do with surfing?” And those with the audacity to ask, we answer: This has everything to do with surfing. During the making of this year’s swimsuit issue, our toes rarely left the sand. We shot it on location in Malibu, California – the birth place of surf culture and fashion – Puerto Rico, a wave-infested, rum-scented Caribbean dream. We surfed. We sat out in the sun. We watched the most beautiful girls we’ve ever laid eyes on enjoy their fabulous lifestyle – and we enjoyed it right along with them. And for this we’re not sorry – we’re excited.
